Holiday Foodie Gifts

Tis the season for holiday shopping. We love giving food-related gifts and we think it’s so fun to shop for holiday parties too. Here are some of our ideas for food-related holiday goodies (and most are listed not only because they are great ideas, but they are also good deals).

Gift Cards

So many restaurants are offering bonus gift cards right now. That means when you buy a gift card they will give you a bonus card for free. These gift cards make great gifts for teachers, friends and family. We know Morton’s, Outback and PF Chang’s are among the many participating. Here’s a link with more.

Trader Joesjoyous-joe

I know lots of you love Trader Joe’s and we at Let’s Eat find the holidays especially fun there. With that in mind we figured we’d share their special holiday items. These are fun things that only TJ’s has!
Our tip? Try to go on a weekday if you can because the weekends get crowded and that means it can be hard to find a parking space. Here’s a look at some of their holiday fun:

Joanna’s Marketplace

Instead of spending lots of money on a basket of food you can make your own basket of goodies here with items you know your recipient likes. How about a nice loaf of bread, cheese, crackers, olives and spread?

Costco

We come here on weekdcostco-veggie-bitesays and wonder why it’s always so crowded, but then we remember that there are food items here you simply can’t find anywhere else and in quantities that are certainly unique. Having a holiday party? This is your one-stop shop. Our favorites for finger food includes the mini quiche, organic veggie bites, grape tomatoes and any of their shrimp! As for treats, if you have a Hanukkah gathering don’t forget the rugelach.

Ice Cream or Frozen Yogurt

In Miami frozen treats are the perfect gift year round. Whether it’s a gift card to Menchies, Wall’s Old Fashioned or Whip n’ Dip there is no denying this is a sweet gift.
